Housing Crisis

Housing

The housing crisis has devastated so many families since 2020.  During the pandemic, the crisis rose to catastrophic levels, prompting the government to take action and implement programs supporting individuals who struggle with housing instability.

Now, in 2025, many families still struggle to obtain or maintain

their homes. As a result, the foreclosure rate rose to make Connecticut the 7th highest foreclosure rate in the country.  Eviction judgments have been offset by government programs in 2024, which are slowly disappearing. However, affordable housing remains a significant issue.

These statistics are just based upon individuals dealing with average circumstances. However, our clients add multiple layers to this problem. They are most often, seeking employment and may have a criminal conviction in their background. For someone who is attempting to move forward into a bright future, housing and employment are essential.

Therefore, C.R.R.I.M.E., Inc. has partnered with several landlords, sober house programs, and rooms for rent to make sure that they will embrace people under these circumstances. Clients will be paired with programs or housing that is tailored to fit their case management plan.

Our programs require dedication, while we provide motivation. Anyone seeking support in acquiring housing shall receive assistance toward that endeavor through the hard work of our peer support team.
